Your student’s health and safety are very important to us here at North Mason School District!
Please make sure you have updated medication orders, Emergency Action Plans, and Tube Feed Orders ready for the 2026–2027 school year.
📄 Documents may be faxed to us at 360.277.2307 or dropped off at the Front Office between 8am - 4pm.
⚠️ Important: We cannot allow your student to attend school without their required emergency medications and an updated doctor’s order/script on file at school.
💊 All medications must be brought to school by an adult.

Today, North Mason School District officially kicked off the 2026-2027 school year with all staff coming together for a morning of celebration, connection, and Bulldog pride!
We started the day with an assembly-style gathering where each school sat together and enthusiastically competed to see who could cheer the loudest. The energy in the room was incredible and served as a reminder of the passion and commitment our staff bring to our students every day.
Superintendent Dr. Michael, Executive Director of Student Services Amber Nygard, and Chief Academic Officer Cris Turner welcomed staff and helped set the tone for an exciting year ahead. We were also thrilled to recognize and welcome our newest team members to the North Mason family.
The celebration concluded with a special recognition of our long-serving staff members. We are fortunate to have employees who have dedicated 25, 30, and even nearly 40 years of service to North Mason. Their unwavering commitment has helped shape generations of students and strengthen our community.
One of the most special parts of our district is seeing former North Mason students return to serve as educators and staff members. There is something truly remarkable about teachers working alongside the very educators who once taught and inspired them.
As we prepare to welcome students back, we are grateful for the outstanding people who make North Mason such a special place to learn, grow, and succeed.

North Mason Families,
As many of you begin planning for the 2026–2027 school year, we wanted to send a quick reminder about several important calendar and schedule changes.
Here are the key updates:
✅ Semester Schedule (K–12)
Beginning in 2026–27, we are moving from trimesters to semesters. This creates more consistency with surrounding districts and simplifies grading and scheduling.
✅ New Conference Schedule (All Schools)
Conferences will now follow the same format districtwide:
•Wednesday: Early release with evening conferences
•Thursday: No school, full-day conferences
•Friday: No school, morning conferences
✅ Spring Break Dates
Spring Break will be April 12–16, 2027 (one week later than in past years).
✅ Secondary Start & End Times (Grades 6–12)
Middle and high school schedules will shift 15 minutes earlier:
•Regular day: 7:45 a.m. – 2:35 p.m.
•Early release: 7:45 a.m. – 1:05 p.m.
•Half day: 7:45 a.m. – 11:10 a.m.
These changes help improve consistency, support instruction, and better align transportation.
We’ll continue to share reminders throughout the summer to help families prepare.

Today our Class of 2026 graduates took part in one of our most meaningful traditions—the Senior Walk! 💙💛
Wearing their caps and gowns, our seniors walked the halls of Hawkins Middle School before heading out on buses to visit Sand Hill Elementary, Belfair Elementary, and Grapeview School—revisiting the places where their educational journey began.
A special thank you to Grapeview School for sending a bus to pick up the seniors who once walked your halls—we truly appreciate your support in making this day so special!
This tradition is one of our favorites, inspiring students of all ages to dream big, work hard, and graduate. It was especially heartwarming to see younger siblings watching their older brothers and sisters walk by in their caps and gowns—what a powerful moment! ❤️

Cameron has committed to CIS University in Madrid, Spain, where he will continue his basketball career while pursuing a degree in business. His dedication in the classroom and on the court has truly paid off, and this opportunity is a testament to his hard work, discipline, and passion.
Moving across the world to chase both academic and athletic goals is no small feat, and Cameron is ready to make the most of this incredible experience.

Last week, Hawkins Middle School was thrilled to welcome our incoming 5th graders from Belfair Elementary and Sand Hill Elementary School!
Before their visits, Mr. Hackett and Mr. Davis traveled to both elementary schools to answer questions, calm any nerves, and give students a sneak peek of what middle school life is all about.
During their time at Hawkins, students toured the campus, met teachers, explored the classes they offer, and even had the chance to work alongside current Huskies!
From classrooms to hallways, the excitement was contagious as they got a true taste of middle school life.
We loved meeting our future Huskies and can’t wait to welcome them back this fall! 💙🐾
Each year, Windermere Real Estate sets aside the first Friday in June for their annual Day of Service—closing both their Allyn and Belfair offices so brokers and staff can give back to the communities they serve 🤝✨ We were so fortunate to be one of the recipients of their kindness and hard work this year!
Despite the weather not cooperating 🌧️, these dedicated volunteers showed true resilience and spirit. They were caught in a downpour that temporarily paused their efforts, yet through it all, they kept smiles on their faces 😊 As soon as they could, they were right back outside—working even in the rain—to make a difference for our students and staff 💪🌧️
Your commitment, teamwork, and willingness to serve—even in less-than-ideal conditions—did not go unnoticed 🙌 Because of you, our campus is a more beautiful and welcoming place 🌸🌼

🦷Molar Roller Team🦷 Thanks to our community partners at Peninsula Community Health Services, Sand Hill Elementary and North Mason Upper Campus students were able to access dental care this week though the mobile dental program; a service that removes the barrier many families face getting students to dental appointments. Nurse Jaclyn and her team are working to provide more valuable opportunities like this in the future. Thank you to all involved in making this possible for our students!
